I wish to welcome you to the website of the Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia, Belgrade.

Almost three centuries ago, the first Grand Lodge in England was established and the freemasonry started to write its history in the light of stormy social changes which had shaped the world. As a work shop for a better man, protector of the truth, tolerance and love for his fellows, the Freemasonry has cherished and raised the conscience and the soul of the Humankind, nourishing it with hope for a better future. As a witness and a participant in important events, a brotherhood of Freemasons shared the same destiny with its people; it went through dissidence and transformations, ups and downs, without renouncing “the quest for that which was lost”. While guarding its light, the brotherhood was a secret and a warning for the malicious people, and a shelter and a guide to the light for free and chaste ones. 

Oriented to the real values and the absolute goodness, both attacked and praised, the freemasonry succeeded to hold on to the path of ethical and spiritual improvement. Brothers firmly stand behind the masonic principles and doctrine which are applicable now as ever.

The Masonic chain is a brotherly order bound in the oath and composed of benevolent, chaste men, loyal to their country, spiritually awakened. They are of different origin, different beliefs and political opinions, united in the search for the universal truth and self-improvement. Freemasons march on the path of illumination of the heart and mind, on the path of faith in the original goodness of a man, by practicing virtues and by working for the welfare and the prosperity of the nation and the state they belong to.

I would like that these pages approach the Masonic ideals to the visitors, and to resolve possible doubts and dilemmas related to the brotherhood and the Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia, Belgrade. I hope that this web site will help the Brothers in their further education and every achievement and that it will provide non-Masonic readers with true information and give a hint of the free masonry light.
